The strongest corporate events give guests more than another item on the agenda. They make it easier to meet someone new, acknowledge good work, share an experience, or start a valuable conversation. A thoughtful entertainment choice can support that job by making the room feel welcoming, present, and worth remembering.

These figures come from the Events Industry Council's 2026 Global Economic Significance of Business Events Study, published July 30, 2026, with research conducted in partnership with Oxford Economics. The study reports 2025 activity and draws on a global survey of more than 1,600 event organizers, venues, destination organizations, and suppliers, alongside country-level research and industry data.
The study defines a business event as a gathering of 10 or more participants for at least four hours in a contracted venue. It includes conventions, conferences, congresses, trade shows, exhibitions, incentive events, and corporate or business events.
